Legal / Copyright and takedown
Your work, your face,
your call.
How to have content or links removed from NAWTY.
The short version
If something on NAWTY uses your work without permission, shows you without your consent, or pretends to be you, tell us and we will look at it. Intimate images and impersonation go to the front of the queue.
1. Who can ask
- The owner of the copyright or other rights in a photo, text or link, or someone authorised to act for them (such as an agency or lawyer).
- Anyone who appears in an image on NAWTY and did not agree to it, or whose name, face or accounts are being used by someone else.
2. What to send
Email sveventuresltd@gmail.com with the subject “Takedown”, and include:
- what the work or image is (for your own photos, a description is enough; you don’t need to send the image);
- the exact web address on NAWTY where it appears, for example the creator page and which photo or link;
- your name, email address and, if acting for someone, who that is;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
- your full name typed as a signature.
You can also use the report form. We may ask for more detail if a notice is unclear, but we will not ask you to prove who you are by sending intimate images.
3. Intimate images and impersonation
If the report is about an intimate image shared without consent, a deepfake of you, or an account pretending to be you, say so in the first line. Our target is to act on these within 24 hours of receiving them: we hide the content or page first and review afterwards. You can also use StopNCII.org to help stop intimate images spreading across other platforms.
4. What we do next
- We acknowledge your notice and review it. Copyright notices are usually handled within two working days.
- If it is valid, we remove or disable the content or link and tell the person who posted it, including a copy of the notice with your personal contact details removed unless you agree otherwise.
- We tell you what we did.
5. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email sveventuresltd@gmail.com with the subject “Counter-notice”. Include what was removed and where it was, why you believe the removal was wrong, your name and contact details, a statement that the information is accurate, and your typed signature. We pass it to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within 10 working days that they have started legal action, we may restore the content. Content removed for breaking our content rules, including all non-consensual and under-18 material, is never restored.
6. Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly post content they do not have the right to use. As a guide, two valid notices lead to a warning and review of the whole page; a third leads to removal. Serious cases, such as posting someone’s intimate images, lead to removal the first time.
7. False notices
Please only send a notice if you are confident it is right. Notices sent to silence someone or knowingly containing false information may be ignored, and may expose the sender to legal liability.
8. Contact
